We wanted a special edition of the Personal Development for University Progamme 2015 and we got it! We wanted to share it with some friends and that’s the reason why we invited some students from Colegio San Patricio (Madrid), Colegio San Agustín (Alicante) and Col·legi Badalonès (Badalona) to join us. It was a great experience for all of us to attend all of the conferences, teamwork activities, workshops and lectures during the week. We have learnt together and reflected on options and alternatives for university and life in general.
As Josep Maria Ginjaume, General Manager of St. Peter’s School, said in the opening session:
“The real problem is not how to find an isolated solution but to know how to use creativity to consider multiple creative solutions that exist. Do it at university and in life.”
The lectures we have attended have been rich and diverse. Tuesday, for instance, was a day dedicated to Creativity, Advertising and Communication, with experts such as Chal Jiménez (Personal Branding, ESDI), Ariadna Esteve (Creativity, IED) and Daniel Tejedor (Secrets of an orator). They were a sample of what a university class of the future is going to be like, creativity always being at the fore.
We also learnt a little more about Statistics with Sara Fondecaba and Economics with Santiago Niño-Becerra, who came on Thursday and filled the theatre to discuss the current economic situation and to present his latest book.
Today Pedro Martínez de la Rosa explained to us the experience of being a Formula 1 Pilot and the necessary skills you need to have: resilience, discipline, creativity, competitiveness and passion.
This afternoon we are holding the closing ceremony at Casa Batlló. In this special environment we will end a great week full of learning and will say goodbye to our new friends from Madrid, Alicante and Badalona. Thank you everyone for making this amazing week possible.
