Identifying the presence of Glucose

Our year 9 students in Biotech class were identifying the presence of Glucose in different kinds of food.

They took samples of Oranges, Bananas, Pears, Salty cookies and Starch and Glucose has a control samples. Those samples were mixed with Benedict solution which is used to test for the presence of monosaccharides; then, the samples were exposed to hot water.

If the colour changes,  it means that you found the Glucose!!!
