Our first Photography exhibition

Miradas Propias
“Miradas propias” is the title of the exhibition organised by @photolab_club

After the first three months of our @photolab_club, the 19 students who decided to take their camera, mobile phone and computer to enrol the Photography class in 2nd of ESO are now much more aware of what it means to be a photographer.

First, we learned that we need to look at the world with brand new eyes. Second, we understood that we need to get to know our gears and technical concepts such as Aperture, Shutter-speed, ISO or focus. Third, we learned basic rules of composition: rule of thirds, contrast, lines, frames, angles… And finally, the most important thing: we needed to take pictures, lots of pictures. Because practise makes perfect.

And that is what these 19 students have been doing. They have taken lots of pictures. At the beginning of December we decided to look backwards and make a selection of our best pics. The goal: to plan our first exhibition. The students wrote their own lines for it, decided the colour of the background and edited the best photos to improve them.

You can see the outcome at Reception. We are all very proud of how much we have learned.
