WORLD BOOK DAY MARCH 6th 2008

World Book Day was designed by UNESCO as a
worldwide celebration of books and reading, and
is celebrated in over 100 countries around the
globe. This year it will take place on Thursday
6th March and will involve 10.000 students in
Catalunya reading in English.

One of the main objectives of this day is to
encourage children to explore the pleasure of
books and reading. In St. Peter’s every child in
Primary will read for a minimum of ten minutes
and they will receive a book token which may
be used to purchase books in English.
